About Me
For as long as I can remember I've loved writing. It wasn't until I stood up against my high school's board of education for student press rights that I really channeled my passion and decided to make a career out of it.
I have a B.A. in journalism with psychology and writing minors from Ithaca College's Roy H. Park School of Communications and made it a point to write as much as I could about things I cared about both inside and outside of the classroom. I worked with brands like Latina and The Spark Group as a student to put my SEO strategy, writer's voice, and NYC navigation skills to the test.
After graduating in 2019, I started as an editorial fellow for Delish.com, one of the top performing brands at Hearst Magazines. Four months into my six month fellowship I was promoted to News Writer. With this title I continued to pitch and write stories daily and use my knowledge on Ecomm and SEO strategy. About a year later, I was once again promoted to Associate Editor, where I continued writing and working to create our editorial calendars and foster synergy between our editorial and social teams. During my time at Hearst, my work appeared on sites like Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, Women's Health, Harper's Bazaar, and more. Now, I'm the Lifestyle Editor at Bustle where I cover and oversee content on all things food, holiday, home, travel, tech, and viral trends. Basically, if you need to know anything about TikTok I've got it covered.
I'm a creative problem solver, an optimistic thinker, and I work well under the pressure of deadlines. Some of my passions include intersectional women's rights, fashion and beauty, and leaning into my Latina culture. When I'm not scouring social media for the scoop on the latest trends, I'm probably watching makeup videos on Youtube, making an afternoon mug of matcha, or trying to think of my next personal essay topic.
